Dr. Shri Dattatreya Narayan alias Appasaheb Dharmadhikari

Dr. Shri Dattatreya Narayan alias Appasaheb Dharmadhikari has given a concrete shape to Dr. Shri Nanasaheb’s thoughts and teachings. An increased quantum of social reformation was made possible by his constant efforts. In fact, a sapling germinated by Dr. Nanasaheb under adverse circumstances was preserved, nurtured and developed into a gigantic tree splitting its branches in every direction of human life.

Dr. Appasaheb is the eldest son of Dr. Nanasaheb. He was born in the village of Revdanda, Taluka Alibag, District Raigad on 14th May 1946. He was brought up under the influence of his grandfather, Shri Vishnu Anant Dharmadhikari and under the guidance of his father Dr. Nanasaheb. The legacy of social awakening, therefore, was naturally inherited by Dr. Appasaheb. Indeed, he could carry out his task with the same grit and determination, combined with equally potent loyalty, eagerness and belongingness.

With the sole intention of making the world perceive the thoughts of Dr. Nanasaheb, Dr. Appasaheb founded “Dr. Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan”. This foundation is committed to dispassionate social service.

Dr. Appasaheb has been spending his entire life for social awakening without any personal gains. Many institutions have taken note of his work to award and felicitate him from time to time.

Dr. Shri Appasaheb never aimed at name and fame in the course of his work on social awakening. He never compromised with the quality and discipline of this gigantic work. He could, hence, carry out this work without any blemishes.

Pillars of the Pratishthan

Shri Sachin Dattatreya alias Sachindada Dharmadhikari, Shri Umesh Dattatreya alias Umeshdada Dharmadhikari and Shri Rahul Dattatreya alias Rahuldada Dharmadhikari are the main pillars of this prathishthaan. The foundation came into existence only because of their ingenious and perfect planning.

Shri Sachindada Dharmadhikari

Shri Sachin Dattatreya alias Sachindada Dharmadhikari, Dr. Shri Appasaheb Dharmadhikari’s son belongs to this illustrious tradition of social awakening of Dharmadhikari family.

An illustrious personality in the Dharmadhikari family is Dr. Shri Appasaheb Dharmadhikari’s son, Shri Sachindada Dharmadhikari, moulded under the combined influence of Dr. Shri Nanasaheb and Dr. Shri Appasaheb Dharmadhikari. He was initiated into the social reformation work right from his childhood. Having inherited the legacy of social reformation, he kept himself committed to social awakening.

He believed in spreading saintly teachings to achieve social transformation. He has keenly observed the social structure, culture and traditions, the conservative values of Indian society. The limitations and drawbacks of some of our customary beliefs have been brought into light through his efforts. These are being rectified in an approach towards social transformation. It will not be inappropriate to say that a true leader of social awakening is born in the form of Sachindada Dharmadhikari.

Dharmadhikari family is the only family in which three continuous generations have been honoured with “Vishesh Raigad Bhushan Puraskar”.

Shri Umeshdada Dharmadhikari

Shri Umesh Dattatreya alias Umeshdada Dharmadhikari is the eldest son of Shri Appasaheb Dharmadhikari. He is a full time dedicated person working towards the success of the Pratishthan. The Pratishthan is involved in social and national development through constant social rehabilitation.

He identified the organisational needs of different programs for social well-being of people. His ideas and guidance transformed these programs into mass social events, which helped national integration to grow. He is the key member of Dr. Shri Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan.

He monitors finances in terms of cash flows, understanding the financial needs of the Pratishthan. He performs governance including establishment and implementation of organisational policies, strategic planning, budgeting and preparation of business plans, and other important administrative resolutions. He always shows great enthusiasm and commitment to achieve the mission of the Pratishthan. He made the necessary changes in the Pratishthan, to achieve its highest purposes.

Shri Rahuldada Dharmadhikari

Shri Rahul Dattatreya alias Rahuldada Dharmadhikari is the youngest son of “Dr. Shri Appasaheb Dharmadhikari”. He voluntarily accepted the principal responsibility for fulfillment of “Dr. Shri Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan”.

Being motivated, enthusiastic and inspiring person, he possesses the capability to transform the vision of Pratishthan into reality. Closely working with the volunteers and other members to plan and execute Pratishthan’s strategies. He communicates effectively with all. He researched and formulated a clear executable social policy that are required to determine different types of social services required and set standards for the implementation of the same. Activities that can be implemented to improve the overall quality of people’s life are usually suggested by him.

Executing action plans along with supervising it at grass root level is his key responsibilities. He conducts regular interaction with the volunteers, various government bodies to see that the activities planned are accomplished successfully. He always motivates volunteers by inspiring them and encouraging good performance.
